Summer Internships

Students typically participate in Monsanto’s Internship Program during their summer break from May through August. In this intensive 10-12 week learning experience, you will have the ability to make an immediate impact by applying your coursework to a variety of individual work assignments and team-based projects that closely align with your field of study. You’ll also have access to training, networking, and professional guidance. Previous Interns have improved manufacturing and procurement efficiencies, supported regulatory projects, and discovered new opportunities that have been implemented to help grow our business.

At the conclusion of your assignment, you will formally present the results of your project to your Manager, team members, and fellow Interns as well as Monsanto employees and leadership. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight your accomplishments and meet new colleagues.

Full-time/Trainees

Monsanto offers two ways to enter the organization as a full-time employee immediately following graduation.

Trainee programs are available in U.S. Row Crops, Sales, Seed Production, Information Technology (Software Development), and Supply Chain. As a Trainee, you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a high-performing member of your team through a 6-16 month focused training and/or rotational program. Trainees will work with their Manager to develop a solid base of knowledge in their respective area. After successful completion of the training program, you will be placced in a regular, full-time position that may require relocation and will be assigned as available.

Graduates may also apply directly to open entry-level positions for which they meet the required qualifications and experience. Entry-level positions are designed for students who have a strong academic record, exhibit leadership potential, and are focused on building their career with us.
