  • Experience with similar mechanical systems and structures, either in design, operation or construction

Students

The opportunities in Engineering are structured primarily as six-month (40hrs/week) co-op positions. We have a very limited number of Engineering internships. These roles are located in St. Louis, MO and within one of our three chemical manufacturing sites, Luling, LA, Muscatine, IA and Soda Springs, ID. We recruit on campuses in the fall and conduct interviews in the fall to fill all of our openings for the upcoming year. Most offers will be made by Thanksgiving.

We primarily look for students pursuing degrees in the following areas:

  • Mechanical
  • Chemical
  • Electrical
  • Ag Mechanization
  • Ag Engineering
  • Process Control

There are a few specialty areas we recruit for at our Soda Springs, ID location that will include Environmental Engineering, Geology, Land Reclamations, Industrial Hygiene and Welding disciplines.

An agricultural background is helpful but not necessary.

As an Engineering co-op you will work with a cross functional team of engineers supporting multiple projects concurrently and possibly in different sites. You must not have any travel limitations. You will gain valuable hands on experience applying your engineering knowledge to projects. Projects will vary based upon location but can include design work, troubleshooting equipment, process optimization, and possibly identifying cost saving procedures.
