Monarchs depend on milkweed for a place to lay their eggs and to support caterpillar growth. The Monarch’s migration corridor extends from Mexico to Canada, and we support creating habitat in these areas and educating communities on how they can help support this beloved species. Monarch habitat can also support a diversity of species, including honey bees, native bees, birds, and other butterflies. There is an opportunity for society at large to help build monarch habitat by planting it in community gardens and backyards.
