Diversity Student Summit

The application process is now open. Click here to apply for the 2018 Monsanto Diversity Student Summit. Applications due no later than September 16, 2018.

The Diversity Student Summit provides ethnic/racial minority students that are currently enrolled at a four-year college or university an opportunity to attend a three-day leadership experience at our St. Louis office, to include the following:

Networking with leaders
Professional development
Overview of our Company and careers in agriculture
Interviews for a 2019 summer internship or spring/fall co-op

This event is open to undergraduate and graduate students who will be returning to school to continue their program of study following the 2019 internship or co-op.

Launched in 2006 as a partnership with the Council of 1890 Land Grant Universities, the leadership event has evolved into the Diversity Student Summit. Learn more about Monsanto's commitment to 1890 Land Grant Universities from this video:

Program Highlights

The 2018 Diversity Student Summit will be held October 14-16, 2018. Students will be invited to our St. Louis, MO office to participate in a leadership development program and to interview for Internship and Co-op opportunities. Travel and accommodations will be provided for you.

Event Agenda

Students will fly to St. Louis on Sunday afternoon and attend a networking activity with other invited students. On Monday, students will participate in sessions focused on leadership development and an overview of agricultural careers. Presentations on our company and each participating business area will be followed by tours of our research center. Internship and Co-op interviews will take place on Tuesday, after which students will depart for home. Students will be notified of the results following the Summit.

Student Profile

We encourage students that meet the following qualifications to apply for the Summit:

Diverse student enrolled in a U.S. four-year college or university
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to relocate for the duration of a three month internship or six month co-op
Enrolled in a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. program (sophomore or above)
Must be returning to school to continue program of study following the internship or co-op assignment
Legal authorization to work within the United States for the duration of their assignment

Majors in all the following areas are encouraged to apply:

Accounting, Agronomy, Bioinformatics, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Crop Science, Data Science, Engineering, Entomology, Finance, Information Technology, Supply Chain, and/or business-related or agriculture-related field with an interest in exploring a career in Agriculture.
